The National Assembly of Wales is located on the waterfront area which faces the waters of Cardiff Bay. The building has three levels, two of which are open to the public. Constructed directly over the Debating Chamber on the lower level, is an impressive twelve metre high circular funnel. The funnel is clad on the outside with cedar panels and internally with 90mm diameter aluminium tubes, which are arranged horizontally to follow the profile of this structure.
LBL Finishers were commissioned to finish the tubes in Macrosheen™, which was specified due to being a direct alternative to anodising with the added creativity of a pearlescent finish.
